This immersive experience will explore the intricate world of metal finishes, detailing the environmental considerations and best-use cases for each type.

Participants will gain insight into a variety of finishing techniques—including polishing, electro-plating, hand finishing, and protective coatings—and how these impact both aesthetics and durability. We’ll also walk through key production methods such as lost wax casting, machining, and 3D printing. The tour will be rounded out with a look into the history of architectural hardware, how it fits into architectural schedules, and important considerations around life safety, egress, and fire-rated hardware.
